Programs
Warriors Wrestling Academy
- Warriors Wrestling Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing aspiring athletes and individuals of all backgrounds. Our program focuses on teaching wrestling fundamentals, developing essential skills, and imparting valuable life lessons.
- Practice Schedule: We hold practices on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We welcome children aged 6 to teens up to 19 years old. No prior experience is necessary, and beginners are encouraged to join.
- Meet Our Coach: Coach Kam Kang is an NCCP Certified coach with over 10 years of experience in developing champions both on and off the mats. Coach Kam is dedicated, engaged, and consistently focused on the growth and success of his athletes.
- Benefits of Wrestling: Wrestling offers benefits that extend beyond physical training. It teaches valuable life skills such as overcoming adversity, developing a strong work ethic, and learning the importance of hard work. Athletes will also experience significant physical transformations, including increased muscle mass and improved overall fitness.
- Training Location and Requirements: Our practices take place in the gym at Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Centre. Athletes should come dressed in shorts and a t-shirt; females may opt for leggings or sweats. A water bottle is essential. We offer a one-week free trial, and registration fees thereafter vary by age, ranging from $1,200 to $2,000 per year.
Class: Go Judo Karate Club
Karate, a Japanese martial art, is derived from two words: Kara, meaning “empty,” and Te, meaning “hand.” As a form of self-defense that uses empty hands, Karate teaches practitioners essential life skills such as self-confidence, discipline, physical fitness, and respect for oneself and others. Our club is a proud member of the Ontario Karate Federation (OKF), the only Karate organization in Ontario recognized by the Government of Ontario. This affiliation provides our members with the opportunity to compete in provincial team selection tournaments, where they can qualify to represent Ontario in the Canadian National Karate Championships. Successful participants may then have the chance to represent Canada in the Pan American Championships, World Junior/Senior Championships, and even the Olympic Games.
